How we can help
Our treatment
What is Kalupada seka?
Seka means heat therapy. It is a traditional Ayurvedic way of treating fractures, joint pain, back pain, neck pain and sciatica, using medicinal herbs, herbal oils and gentle heat. Herbal oil and a herbal bandage go on first, then gentle heat from a warmed iron rod, only as warm as you can comfortably bear.
The treatment began at Kalupada Ghat in Khordha, which is how it got its name.

Does seka burn the skin?
No. Our experienced therapists give the heat through layers of oiled cloth, and only as warm as you can comfortably bear. It does not burn the skin or leave marks.
How many days will it take?
It depends on the problem. A minor injury often feels better within 10 to 15 days of daily treatment. We’ll give you an honest idea at your first visit.
